Sources Sought- Metal Door Replacement for Control Building- Substation Facility

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY in support of the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Desert Southwest (DSW) Region. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice. WAPA DSW is requesting information to identify possible sources. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing.

The purpose of this source sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified contractors interested and capable of completing a door replacement project at the DSW Blythe Control Building in accordance with the attachment statement of work.

Location: Blythe (BLY) Riverside County, California, ZIP 92225 The anticipated contract type is a Firm, Fixed-Price. This is a new requirement. The Government anticipates one award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 332321 Metal Window and Door Manufacturing with small business size standard of 750 EMP. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The input provided will help WAPA ascertain the interest, capability, and capacity of potential businesses both small and large. If you are an interested business, WAPA would appreciate your assistance in providing a statement of capabilities to include the following:

1) Full business name 2) Name, phone number, and e-mail address of a company representative the Government may contact for additional information 3) Unique Entity ID of business 4) Size of business [based on the applicable NAICS code] 5) Statement as to whether business is actively registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.

SUBMISSION: Information is to be submitted by electronic delivery to reyeswiltz@wapa.gov with the subject line “SOURCES SOUGHT” and shall be received no later than 5:00 PM Mountain Time (ET) on Friday, November 21, 2025. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with the acquisition and a subsequent solicitation may be published.
