This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. This notice of intent for to procure instrument service preventative maintenance from Mauna Technologies, Massachusetts 02134-1606 for the Cellvisio® ultrasound machine that supports Gastroflex probes for protocols for perioperative medicine. Mauna Technologies is the registered trademark holder of the in vivo cellular imaging platform.
This existing equipment has reached the one-year warranty timeframe and additional equipment coverage for the unit is required. The probes for the ultrasound machine are used to monitor, assess, classify, and guide diagnosis and care of various diseases and cancer. This includes but is not limited to:
Barrett’s Esophagus, Bilio-Pancreatic Structures, Pulmonology, Gastric Lesions, Pancreatic Cysts, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Colorectal Lesions, and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. In order to ensure that probes will work with the unit the preventative maintenance must be properly maintained. There is no other company that has the proprietary rights to the unique Cellvisio® ultrasound machine that is compatible with the existing Cellvisio® probes in the department of perioperative medicine.
A base year and four option periods is contemplated for award in accordance with FAR 52.217-9.
Base year 04-01-24 until 03-31-25 Option Year 1 04-01-25 until 03-31-26 Option Year 2 04-01-26 until 03-31-27 Option Year 3 04-01-27 until 03-31-28 Option Year 4 04-01-28 until 03-31-29 This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
