Jesup Description: The FBOP is solicit qualified Optometrists or Optometry service providers capable of furnishing routine clinical optometry care, including eye examinations, in accordance with the statement of work for inmates at FCI Jesup. The requirement will be described in sufficient functional and performance?based detail within the solicitation so that potential offerors may propose commercial services best suited to meet the agency’s needs, consistent with FAR 12.203(b).

The solicitation will be issued using commercial item provisions and the appropriate solicitation/contract format, and will follow the policies of FAR Part 12 in conjunction with applicable procedures under FAR Part 13. Vendors shall review Section L of the solicitation to ensure all requsted infomation is submitted with their bid.

(1) Set-asides. Unrestricted. The NAICS for this requirement is:

621320 – Doctors of Optometry.

(2) Description. The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Jesup requires Optometrist Services for the incarcerated inmate population in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Government has 1 base year and 4 option years with the same estimated totals, as noted in the Statement of Work. This is not a new requirement: Services are currently being provided via Purchase order 15B30729P00000047 by RCS Vision LLC.
