Intent to Sole Source - Tecan Fluent 1080 Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Service Contract

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Tecan US. The requirement is for a Tecan Fluent 1080 recertification/ preventative maintenance (PM) and service contract. Tecan US is the only vendor with the capacity, experience, and therefore, is the only vendor able to meet the Government’s need.

The purchase order will be awarded for 12 months (2/22/2024 – 2/21/2025). This requirement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (Simplified Acquisition Procedures and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be reviewed by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
