Intent to Sole Source - Eaton Corp UPS Battery Maintenance

Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract in support of Strategic Communications Wing One for Emergency Maintenance (EM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and unscheduled maintenance/repairs on Eaton Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and sealed batteries in accordance with vendor’s manuals and standard industry practices.

The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, Fl intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Eaton Corporation. They are the Original Equipment Manufacturer and is the sole technical provider of the installed equipment without voiding OEM warranty. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing.

Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response.

If no responses are received within three (3) calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole-source contract, a sole source contract award will be made. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. If no written responses are received by 12:00 p.m. E.S.T.) 5 September 2024, the contract will be awarded without further notice. This sole-source acquisition meets the conditions under Statutory Authority permitting the Other Than Full and Open Competition under 41 U.S.C.

1901€2, Special Rules for Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) and is not a request for competitive quotes. This notices does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote or an invitation to bid. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 05 September 2024 at 12:00 pm eastern standard time (est), via email. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
