Introduction The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), San Francisco Field Office, is conducting market research pursuant to FAR Part 10 to identify qualified sources capable of providing commercial kenneling services in the Fresno, California area. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. Requirement Summary CBP requires commercial kenneling services to support up to 8 CBP-owned working canines. The kennel must be located within a 25-mile radius of the following locations:
CBP-FRESNO East POE: 5177 E. Clinton Way, Fresno, CA 93727 CBP-APSF POE: Fresno, CA 93727 Vendors must be capable of providing secure boarding, controlled feeding, daily cleaning, emergency protocols, and comply with applicable federal and local animal care standards. CBP seeks to better understand the market's capacity, capability, and readiness to meet this requirement. Information Requested Interested parties are requested to respond to the following:
Company Name, Address, UEI Number, and CAGE Code Primary Point of Contact (Name, Title, Email, Phone Number) Are you currently registered under NAICS code 812910 (Pet Care Services)? If not, what code do you operate under, and what is your business size classification? Is your facility located within the 25-mile radius of the listed Fresno addresses? What is your maximum canine housing capacity?
Are you capable of providing daily cleaning, secure housing, routine feeding, and access to emergency care for working dogs? Do you have experience providing care for law enforcement, military, or other working canine programs? Do you comply with the Animal Welfare Act (9 CFR 3.1 and 3.11) and all applicable municipal codes? Do you have any concerns or recommendations regarding kenneling support for government-owned working dogs?
