Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Concrete Blocks Barrier

U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award to Thurston and Wong LLC.(Aroosta-Cast) They will provide, deliver, and place 238 “Jumbo Block” concrete vehicle barriers to support U.S. Border Patrol – Fort Fairfield Station which is located at Curtis Road Site 78-98 Curtis Road Easton, Maine. Period of performance: 60 Days after receipt of order The sole source justification is attached to this posting as well as the Statement of Work (SOW).

Due to the “urgent and compelling circumstances”, the sole source option is being requested in this situation. As mentioned in the description above, the 250% increase from FY23-FY24 in vehicle incursions in this specific area is greatly impacting border and national security in this area.
