Notice of Intent to award a 12-month Purchase Order to Waste Management Services, under a sole source requirement for the provision of complete waste disposal services for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Tucson Sector area of operations. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
The USBP Tucson Sector has a requirement for the transportation, treatment, storage, disposal and recycle of waste in a lawful manner, for 12 locations throughout the Sector, which consists of over 262 border miles and covers nearly the entire southern portion of Arizona from the New Mexico state line to the Yuma County line. Waste Management is the only vendor capable of providing services to all locations within the Tucson Sector.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Any vendors who believe they can provide the services and can provide proof of ability to meet the requirements should email their company’s capabilities information to the attention of Frank S. Duarte, Contracting Officer (CO), at frank.s.duarte@cbp.dhs.gov, by March 28, 2024. Information submitted should support the company’s capability to perform the work required. The Government shall not be responsible for costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Only email responses accepted. No phone calls.
