Alterations to existing property for the U.S Embassy Windhoek, Namibia

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Windhoek will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. The U.S. Embassy Windhoek hereby provides the following Pre-solicitation Notice in respect of the issuance of a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for: Alterations to existing property for the Embassy of the United States of America in Windhoek, Namibia. The U.S. Embassy Windhoek requires the services of a qualified Contractor for the construction of various alterations to an existing property.

a. Removal of existing joinery.

b. Removal of existing sanitaryware.

c. Removal of existing door.

d. Installation of a new door opening.

e. Construction of new concrete floor.

f. Installation of pre-manufactured joinery.

g. General construction tasks.

h. Changing existing downlight lightbulbs to LED lightbulbs.

i. Provision of existing light points where required.

j. Securing existing light points and closing them off.

k. Landscaping work. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
