The U.S. Consulate General Cape Town requires vehicle and chauffeur hire services for official transportation needs in Cape Town, South Africa for a period of 14 days, in February. The requested vehicle types and quantities are as follows:
1. SUV Chauffeured Vehicles: 2 units 2. Sedan Chauffeured Vehicles: 2 units 3. Self-drive SUV Vehicle: 2 unit The service provider must ensure that all vehicles are in excellent working condition and meet the safety standards required for diplomatic missions. Vehicles must be fully insured and licensed for use in South Africa.
Scope of Services: Chauffeured vehicles will be required to transport U.S. Consulate staff and officials to designated locations within the region. Self-drive vehicles should be made available for rental, with appropriate documentation, for use by Consulate staff. Vehicles should be available for the full 14-day period, with flexibility in scheduling as required.
Eligibility Requirements: Vendors must meet the required vehicle specifications and safety standards. Vendors should have a proven track record of providing reliable vehicle hire and chauffeur services for official or government clients.
Safety Standards: All drivers must comply with South African Road Traffic regulations, which include maximum driving hours and mandatory rest periods for commercial drivers.
Submission Instructions: Interested parties should submit their proposals, including pricing, terms, and a brief description of their ability to meet the above requirements, by no later than Monday, February 3, 2025 at 9h00 SAST to capetown_quotation@state.gov.
