The American Embassy in Brazzaville is seeking a company to provide food preparation services to the 7-member Marine Security Guard Detachment. The cook or cooks provided under this contract will be required to prepare 3 meals a day, Monday to Friday (except for holidays) and, within that work schedule, to prepare some meals to be left ready for consumption for the evenings, weekends, and special occasions.

Foodstuffs, kitchen facilities, and kitchen/serving equipment and supplies will be provided by the Marine Security Guard Detachment. The services will be performed at the Marine Security Guard Detachment residence at the American Embassy. Personnel serving under the contract must pass security checks.

In addition to providing experienced cooks, the successful offeror must be licensed, must agree to adhere to all local labor laws and standards, must obtain and maintain liability insurance on its employees, must provide supervision and management of its personnel, must be familiar with and adhere to international standards of nutrition and meal preparation, and must create and follow a program for inspection and quality control.

The requirements of this solicitation cannot be met by an individual because the contract will require that a cook be provided every weekday (except for holidays) regardless of illness or other hindrance. Individuals interested in this solicitation may take part if they form partnerships or seek employment with a company that responds to this solicitation. This is not a recommendation that individuals incur expenses to respond to the solicitation.

The contract, when awarded, will be a one-year, fixed-price contract with options to renew up to a total service period of three years. There will not be a price adjustment provision for the option years. Companies are advised to prepare their offers with that in mind, forecasting inflation and currency fluctuations as much as possible. IThe Embassy intends to conduct a pre-quotationconference at the site, The pre-proposal conference will be held on May 15, 2025, at 9 am (local time) at the US Embassy Brazzaville. Prospective offerers/quoters should contact Brazzaville Procurement by May 12, 2025 for additional information or to arrange entry to the building.
