The U.S. Embassy to Belgium intends to issue a Purchase Order (PO) firm-fixed-price contract for repair services to fix a sinkhole in the street located on the Compound A description of the required services and scope of work can be found below:
The contractor must adhere to all applicable safety requirements associated with excavation, work with heavy machinery, and confined spaces.
The following tasks are required: Sinkhole investigation utilizing diagnostic tools above and under the surface; Street stability analysis with ground penetrating radar to identify any other areas of concern; Excavation of the immediate sinkhole area until solid ground and/or the sinkhole source is discovered; Repair to the sinkhole source; Backfilling the excavated area, compacting the substrate, and completely surface repair necessary for the road to be returned to its original cobblestone design.
The contractor shall be available directly after ward to start the repairs and inform the government immediately if excavation beyond five meters of depth is required due to the adjacent building foundation proximity.
Registration Requirements: All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database (https://www.sam.gov) prior to submitting an offer, pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submission of quotations/proposals.

It is important to make sure the submission is made in specific size and format; Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The file size must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed the 2MB, the submission must be made in separate files and attached to separate emails with less than 2MB each. (ex: first email ending in “part 1 of 3” and last email ending in "part 3 of 3”)
