INL/Honduras Tools & Equipment HNP Mechanic Shop

3.1 BACKGROUND The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is an instrumental leader in the development of policies and programs to combat international narcotics and crime. INL programs support two of the Department of States' strategic goals: (1) to reduce the entry of illegal drugs into the United States; and (2) to minimize the impact of international crime on the United States and its citizens.

One of the many ways to effectively meet these goals is to partner with allied governments both directly and indirectly to promote the modernization of and support the enforcement operations of their foreign criminal justice systems and law enforcement agencies.

INL-H has a requirement to purchase Mechanic Shop Tools and Equipment, with the pertinent accessories, to be donated to the Honduran National Police (HNP for its Spanish Acronym) in Tegucigalpa, which will significantly help to carry out maintenances and repairs in a more efficient way, in a suitable place, with the necessary tools to deliver the vehicles and motorcycles in the shortest possible time; as well as to increase the useful life time cycle of every vehicle and motorcycle belonging to the HNP, all this will directly translate into a more effective transport of investigative teams and greater progress of criminal investigation that take place at a national level.

The vendor shall configure to manufacturer standard all the proposed products in accordance with the conditions, requirements, and specifications of this SOW or similar. The contractor shall provide HNP with the Mechanic Shop Tools and Equipment with the pertinent accessories and ensure warranty/guarantee services are available in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
