Update to add answers to additional two questions: This soliciatation has been extended for one week. Below are answers to submitted questions: Does this project require the contractor awarded to provide power and gate controls? If so, can you please provide details on the power source and where the gate will be controlled from? (Yes, the contractor will be responsible for connecting the new gate into the interlock system. This system is controlled from Tower 3 and from the Control Center.
The secured electronics room in above the east gate inner currently.) Who is responsible for moving the wall mounted camera seen in Sketch #1 if it is in the new gate travel path? (Contractor will be responsible to remove and re-install anything that may become interference for the new gate system.)

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Correctional Institute (FCI), Atlanta, (FCI Atlanta) located at 601 McDonough Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to replace the antique swinging East Gate (inner gate).
The contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements, fabricating the fencing/gate systems and installing the fencing and gate systems and all associated hardware and drive mechanisms. All manufacturers’ recommendations will be required to be implemented. Period of performance is estimated 153 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice ot Proceed to testing and acceptance of the project.
The time frame allotted will allow adequate time for security clearances to be obtained, materials to be ordered and delivered on site, the removal of the old equipment, the work to be completed, system testing to be completed, and demobilization from the work site.
