THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from market research questionnaire will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Grease Trap Cleaning Services at the Federal Correctional Institution located in FCI McKean. The contractor will provide services in accordance with the attached Statement of Work.
The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract shall consist of (1) 12-month base year with up to (4) 12-month option years and an option for a 6-month extension. FCI McKean is located at 6975 Route 59 Lewis Run PA. FCI McKean is equipped with Two (2) grease traps. One inside the secure perimeter which holds approximately 10,000 gallons.
A second grease trap is located at our satellite camp which holds approximately 2,000 gallons. We are seeking a qualified waste removal business that can meet the following requirements. A pump truck, scrapers and hoses will be needed to scrape clean the side walls and baffles during pump-out to help maximize removal of greases from the interceptor during each cleaning. The settled materials should also be thoroughly vacuumed.
The interceptor is equipped with an effluent filter, the filter should be properly cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer’s instructions. Other equipment may be necessary to break up the Fat, Oil, and Grease (FOG) in order to properly clean. The tanks will be visually inspected during each site visit any problems or damage will be reported to FCI McKean Facilities Staff All services to be performed quarterly (October-December, January-March, April-June, and July-September), or as needed.
The contractor agrees to adhere to all regulations prescribed by the institution for safety and security of the institution. The contractor will provide a list of employees who will be driving and assisting the truck that will be entering the secure perimeter. Each employee will be required to be cleared through a NCIC background check. The background check will be conducted by the institution and requires the employees to fill out a background form that will be supplied by the institution.
FCI McKean reserves the right to reject any clearance application or revoke any approved clearance. This requirement is subject to the Service Contract Act, Wage Determination No. 2015-4249
