NOI - GRCA Supply of StaLok®

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A COMPETITIVE REQUEST FOR QUOTE. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if it's determined only one source is reasonably available to satisfy agency requirements, as supplemented with additional information in this notice.

The National Park Service, Arizona MABO, intends to issue a Sole Source award for the purchase and delivery of up to 130 tons of colored gold StaLok® paving materials on behalf of the Grand Canyon National Park. The National Park Service intends to procure StaLok® paving materials from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b).

This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures and will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 327992 - Ground or Treated Mineral and Earth Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 600 employees. THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE WITH THIS NOTICE. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the agency.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to utilize competition will be based upon responses received as a result of this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
