GLAC: LOG GUARDRAIL HARDWARE - STUDS AND HEX NUTS

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A COMPETITIVE REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Northern Rockies Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Sole Source award for the Log Guardrail Hardware for Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTSR) project located in Glacier National Park, MT. This requirement is for the purchase of 1" doubled threaded studs with both ACME and standard threads, as well as 1" nuts with ACME threading to compliment the studs. Requested items include:

- 1" x 4" A193 B7 Double Threaded Studs - QTY 2000 - 1" ACME Threaded Nut with Washer Face - QTY 2000 The National Park Service intends to procure the GTSR Log Guardrail Hardware from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures and will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 332722 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This is a Sole Source Notice and not a request for quotations.

No solicitation document is available with this notice. Any firm that believes it has the capabilities to provide the GTSR Log Guardrail Hardware may contact the Contract Specialist, Kiara Stewart at kiara_stewart@nps.gov, with documentation as to how their firm is capable of meeting and machining the requested double-ended studs and nuts. A determination not to compete this proposed order based on responses to this notice will be made at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for support of the Government's determination to support of a non-competitive strategy.
