CANDY KITCHEN VEGETATION TREATMENTS, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, ALBUQUERQUE DISTRICT OFFICE, BERNALILLO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number 140L3726Q0157 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.
This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov. This solicitation is set aside for small business. NAICS 115310 - Support Activities for Forestry - Fuels Management Services. The small business size standard is $34.0 million. Product Service Code F014 - Natural Resources/Conservation - Tree Thinning. The Purchase Order will be issued as a firm, fixed-price agreement with a single lump sum payment.
Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Albuquerque District Office, Bernalillo County, New Mexico has a requirement to perform Manual Fuel Reduction / Thinning - Slash Management (pinyon-juniper) on a per acre basis with an estimated 202 acres with work to be performed from October 1, 2026 - February 1, 2027. The project is located in Township 8N, Range 16W, Section 33 approximately 1 mile west of the rural community of Candy Kitchen, New Mexico.
Piñon and Juniper trees within and adjacent to the project area have encroached on grasslands and meadows have been decreasing overall watershed capabilities, wildlife habitat and forage production.
