QUESTIONS and ANSWERS 1. The salient characteristics require an average sample ramp rate of 3.66°C/sec or greater. Thermo Fisher's published specification for the QuantStudio 5 384-well system states an average sample ramp rate of 2.92°C/sec. Since this is a brand-name-only procurement, please confirm whether 2.92°C/sec is acceptable or whether the requirement will be corrected? This is acceptable. 2. The brand-name justification refers to independently programmed temperature zones across the heat block.

Thermo Fisher's published literature indicates that VeriFlex temperature zones are not applicable to the 384-well QuantStudio 5 configuration. Please confirm whether independently programmable temperature zones are a mandatory requirement? This is not required. 3. Please confirm the required Thermo Fisher catalog number and whether the requested configuration must include a laptop or desktop computer? This should not include a computer.

Catalog number: A28140 4. Are installation, calibration, onsite setup or user training required? No 5. Is the manufacturer's standard warranty acceptable, and is any extended service coverage required? Standard warranty is acceptable 6. Must the successful contractor be an authorized Thermo Fisher reseller, and should evidence of authorization be included with the quotation?

Yes 7. Please confirm whether a manufacturer-issued VPAT/Accessibility Conformance Report and supporting accessibility narrative will satisfy the Section 508 submission requirements. Yes

Offerors are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Salient Characteristics (see Attachment).
