VR VIDEOS & AR APPLICATION

The Department of the Interior (DOI), United States Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal & Marine Science Center (PCMSC) seeks to award firm, fixed-price contract to produce three virtual reality (VR) videos simulating future flooding projections in locations along the Puget Sound (Washington) shoreline and an augmented reality (AR) application to enable the public to access future flooding projections across the Puget Sound shoreline on mobile devices (smart phones/tablets).

These products will support stakeholder engagement and community outreach work across the region. As broad guidance, the VR videos should be modeled after a virtual reality video produced for USGS in Capitola, CA, in 2020. The place of performance includes USGS, PCMSC offices, and contractor facility.

The estimated period of performance is October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2026. The statement of work will be released with the Request for Quotation, which we expect to be available in mid-July to late July, IAW FAR 5.102(a)(1).

We intend to award a single contract as described above in accordance with the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13.5 (Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items). This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conform to the requirements in place through FAC 2024-05, effective 22 May 2024. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to participate in this requirement.

The SAM can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer using the data within the SAM registration database.
