WATER TOWER REFURBISHMENT

The USGS Wetland and Aquatic Research Cent located in Gainesville, FL has a requirement to refurbish a 10,000-gallon elevated water tank. It includes the following:

- Repainting Exterior: Pressure washing, surface prep (Surface Preparation Standards #2 & #3 Hand or power tool cleaning removes loose rust, paint, and mill scale), primer and polyurethane finish.
- Repainting Interior: Tank draining (by others), abrasive blasting to (Surface Preparation Standards #10 Near-White Metal), epoxy prime/finish coats, weld/ladders stripe coat, debris disposal.
- Ladder Repair: Remove old ladder, install new 10-ft steel ladder with welded standoff brackets, paint per interior spec.

- Work will take place in the following county in Florida: Alachua

- Period of Performance is 30 days after notice to proceed is issued.

- Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0126Q0123 will close May 22, 2026, at 10:00 am pacific time.

- A site visit will be held on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. (EST) CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. For site visit information please refer to FAR Clauses 52.236-27 and 52.236-27A*1. If you are planning to attend please email either Dayna Parkin or Larry Forshee at dayna_parkin@ios.doi.gov or lforshee@usgs.gov to provide you¿re the names who are going, and emails along with phone numbers no later than 24 hours before the site visit starts.

- The NAICS Code is 237110. The size standard is $45.0 million. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set Aside.

- Amendment 0001 has been implemented to provide question and answer document, reference B09 Attachment 7 Question and Answer Amendment 0001. The closing date has been extended from 05/22/2026 at 10:00 am pacific time to 05/27/2026 at 10:00 am pacific time.

Amendment 0002 has been implemented to provide question and answer document, reference B09 Attachment 8 Question and Answer Amendment 0001. The closing date has not been extended.

- All question pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to dayna_parkin@ios.doi.gov at least 4 calendar days before the proposals due date. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted at least 4 calendar days before the proposal due date may not receive a response.

- The anticipated award date of the contract is May 29, 2026. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be emailed to dayna_parkin@ios.doi.gov. Faxed Quotes will not be accepted.
