Replacement of Computer Room Air Conditioners

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis to request information for market research and planning purposes. This announcement is not a solicitation and does not constitute a request for quotes, proposals, or bids.

The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify and collect information on potential sources with the capability of providing design-build services to replace five Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units and add two additional CRAC units at the Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as described in the attached DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW). Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government for acquisition planning and decision making.

The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code to be used for this requirement is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard is $19 million. The Government is seeking to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of both small and large businesses. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated.

If your company is interested and possess the qualifications, capability, and responsibility to provide the services detailed in the DRAFT SOW, you are encouraged to respond to this announcement with a statement of your qualifications and capability. In response, please provide:

1. Company information including name, Unique Entity Identification (UEI), and point(s) of contact with telephone number and e-mail address.

2. Business size and socioeconomic classifications such as designations as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), or Indian Owned Economic Enterprise.

3. A list of current contracts that may include the services described, such as GSA schedules and Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC), and are available for use by the U.S. Geological Survey.

4. Narrative of your company's capability to provide the services described in the attached DRAFT PWS.

5. Description of experience on contracts with similar requirements. Please provide no more than three examples of projects completed within the past five years of the issue date of this announcement. Please include project title, location, general description of the services to demonstrate relevance to the DRAFT SOW, your company's role, approximate dollar value of project, and name of the company, agency or government entity for which the work was performed. If submitting experience on a project in the role of a subcontractor, include the prime contractor's name and approximate percentage of the project your company contributed to the work relevant to the DRAFT SOW.

6. All feedback on the DRAFT SOW is welcome including changes to the wording, structure, requirements, and tasking. Responses to this announcement must be submitted to the point of contact listed below. Submission methods other than email will not be accepted.
