GENERATOR FOR REPAIR OF X'PERT XRD INSTRUMENT

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Malvern-PANalytical Incorporated. The Geology, Energy, and Minerals Science Center x-ray diffraction lab requires the contractor to install a certified generator with attachments to replace the current broken generator in the PANalytical X'Pert Pro x-ray diffractometer (serial number DY 2598). The generator replacement is necessary to make this XRD instrument functional.

In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The NAICS code for this action is 334516 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/index.html to be awarded the contract.
