Solicitation Amendment 1 - deadline extension and Q&A The United States Geological Survey (USGS), National Minerals Information Center is seeking a contractor to create a secondary education curriculum package focusing on critical minerals. The purpose is to create several lessons that explain the basics of critical minerals to students.
The goal of the curriculum is to raise awareness in middle and high school students (and their teachers and parents) about the importance of critical minerals in their lives, and to provide them with an understanding of the science, technology, career opportunities, and global impact of the human need for critical minerals. Refer to the performance work statement (Attachment 1) for further detail. This shall be a firm fixed-price purchase order with a performance period of 10/01/2024 ¿ 2/07/2025.
The acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 541990, Size Standard $19.5 million. The award will be made to the offer that provides the best value to Government based on technical response and price. RFQ Section E.4. page 19 lists evaluation factors. Instructions for quotes at E.5. Vendors must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/ to be awarded the contract.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the government. The deadline for quote packages is 11 a.m. ED (revised by amendment to 7:00 PM ED), Friday, September 13, 2024. Quote packages MUST be emailed to sruggles@usgs.gov.
