Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Falls Church, VA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures to Government of Canada, Canadian Wildlife Service, Quebec Qc. This requirement is for services for statistically valid estimates of the abundance of breeding waterfowl inhabiting the central Interior Plateau of central British Columbia.

The Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS) is uniquely qualified to perform the activity because it has legal responsibility for migratory bird monitoring, research, and management in Canada. The CWS has the experience, on-site infrastructure and logistic capability to work in this area. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 541620. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however firms with expressed interest and capability are encouraged to respond by 4/5/2024.
