Notice of Intent to Sole Source OpenVMS Software Support and Licenses

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has a requirement for OpenVMS operating system licenses and support. NOAA intends to award to VMS Software, Inc. on a sole source basis as VSI software is proprietary to VMS Software and there are no authorized distributors or resellers of the software. Please see the attached Statement of Need for more details. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort, in writing, to the identified point of contact.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
