Commercial Data Hub Pilot Program

Responses to Vendor Questions - RFI - Commerce Data Hub Pilot Program posted in the attachments on 06/26/2023. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks responses from industry sources of data sets relevant to the Department of Commerce mission. Responses from industry are requested to assist with development of a Commerce Data Hub Pilot Program as described in the RFI Instructions and Draft Statement of Work.

The mission of the Department of Commerce (Commerce) is to create the conditions for economic growth and opportunity. Data are critical for fulfillment of Commerce’s mission to spur good-paying jobs, empower entrepreneurs to innovate and grow, and help American workers and businesses compete. In carrying out this important mission for the nation, Commerce generates, collects, stores, and analyzes an exponentially growing abundance of data, including data on the nation’s economy, population, and environment.

Finding new and evidence-based ways to combine Commerce data with data from other sources will enable Commerce to better leverage its data to address society’s current and emerging needs.

The acquisition associated with this RFI contemplates issuance of an open solicitation under FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services, under which vendors may submit proposals for delivery of commercial data within the general subject areas identified in the draft Statement of Work (SOW). Commerce looks forward to receipt of industry questions, comments and capability statements in support of this initiative.
