Lack of registration in SAM will qualify contractor as ineligible for award.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this solicitation which shall be considered. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm fixed type contract based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror.
The requirement is for the purchase of a floor standing high-speed centrifuge that will replace a previous Beckman-Coulter high-speed centrifuge. The Naval Medical Research Unit - San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) synthesizes novel therapeutics utilizing centrifugation. To rapidly complete these syntheses a high centrifugation speed of at least 100,000xg is required. The centrifuge must support In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) compatibility as well as 15mL and 50mL conical and 30mL round bottom centrifuge tubes.
Samples spun down in the centrifuge will need a temperature maintained for the duration of the centrifugation between -20o and +40oC. Electrical requirements must be within 200-240 VAC and 24-30A. No instrument maintenance plan is advised at this time as the previous unit lasted 8 years (2 years prior to its 10-year life expectancy) without major repair or maintenance. A new Beckman-Coulter Avanti JXN-30 would meet these requirements. Specific items for pricing are as follows:
1. AVANTI JXN 30 200V 208V 240V - QTY: 1/EA.
2. SHIPPING - QTY: 1/EA. *All questions should be directed to:
