Furnish & Deliver Picnic Tables and Fire Rings to Various Locations in Kootenai National Forest, Montana

05AUG2024 - Amendment 0003 is issued to provide the following Q&A:

Q14: I had a question regarding the snow load rating. I only assume that it was a partial typo but you have a snow load of 1420 pounds a square foot written in the specs. Was that supposed to be divided by the total square footage of the table, meaning 1,420/32sqft = 44.375lbs/sqft, or do I need to estimate to build a table that can withstand 45,000 pounds? 1420 x 32sqft=45,440. The table in the picture cannot withstand that loading. I understand this, but I wanted to clarify in writing.

A14: The snow load rating for that is supposed to be 1420 lbs. per square foot. Many Pilot Rock specs were used for this as a standard table that we know works for us and that we have had good experiences with. So the snow load requirement comes from what Pilot Rock makes.

The snow load requirements were specifically added to deal with our environmental conditions, as well as to help create a minimum standard of robustness so that we were not getting the cheapest tables that could easily be put together but does not have the sturdiness required. 02AUG2024 - Amendment 0002 is issued to notify prospective offerors that Factor 2 - Qualifying Product on Page 2 of the solicitation, has been changed so that offerors will NOT need to submit load test results for tables.

Brochures and specification summaries can be included with your proposal in lieu of load test results. 25JUL2024 - Amendment 0001 is issued to (1) provide Q&As (RFIs); (2) incorporate the Goverment's picture of their desired picnic tables and fire rings (Attachment 3); (3) provide additional information on the technical evaluation process; and,(4) to extend the deadline for the offeror's Price and Technical Proposal package to August 9, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

All offers must still be emailed to mary.harding@usda.gov by the stated due date and time. 19JUL2024 - RFQ NO. 1284LL24Q0074 is issued herein as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside for a commercial supply requirement to be delivered to 4 different locations in the Kootenai National Forest, Montana (GAOA). This is a Combined Synopsis and Solicitation, and quotes must be submitted via email no later than 5:00 p.m. Central Time on 02 August 2024.
