COLUMBINE OFFICE PAINTING PROJECT: SAN JUAN NATIONAL FOREST, COLORADO

See the SOW, Attachment 1, for details on the SITE VISIT scheduled or April 8, 2025.

The work in this contract consists of the general construction of providing all the materials, labor, and equipment necessary to conduct surface repair, preparation, priming, and painting/staining of all previously painted or stained exterior surfaces at the Columbine District Ranger Site. In addition, all stair treads are to be replaced at the Bayfield Modular Office Building. Lastly, the columns holding the gabled overhand above the front deck of the Columbine District Ranger Office are to be replaced.

The buildings to be painted are Columbine Ranger District Office, Bayfield Office #2, Bayfield Office #3, Bayfield Warehouse/Garage, Bayfield Modular Office, Bayfield Fire Cache/Tack Storage. The contractor will also be required to remove, store, and reinstall any exterior items that may impede required work. These items may include but is not limited to exterior lighting, mirrors, signs, air conditioning units, water hoses, and electrical boxes.

An on-site interior storage area shall be designated by the COR prior to equipment removal. All plants are to be protected using an appropriate cloth and any required trimming shall be conducted by the contractor after receiving COR approval. All other landscaping shall be protected by a painter’s drop cloth.
