Cabin Foundation Stabilization - Coconino National Forest

Lifting or moving the building by a qualified building mover. Removing existing foundations. Installing a foundation consisting of CMU stem walls & pedestals over strip & spot footings placed at frost depth Replacing deteriorated stud bases, rim joists and joist ends with new lumber. Sistering and supplementing all floor framing with laminated venner lumber so that intermediate foundation elements are minimized. Resetting the buidling at a higher elevation so that perimeter wood framing is a minimum of 8” above exterior grade and interior floor joists are at least 18” above the earth in the crawlspace. Provide positive drainage away from building
