Project Title: Gila National Forest/Engineering-Cattle Guards This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 127EAV24Q0019 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ).
This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Location of project: Engineering on the Gila National Forest located in Silver City, New Mexico has a requirement for Cattle Guards, the applicable NAICS is 332312 Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing, for which the small business size standard in employees is 500 (PSC: 5450 MISCELLANEOUS PREFABRICATED STRUCTURES).
This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses of those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2024-03 dated February 23, 2024. The result of this requirement will be a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) contract. The right to make multiple or no award is reserved in the event it is advantageous to the Government to do so. The contractor shall provide pricing in accordance with the Schedule of Items.
The Contractor shall provide the Gila National Forest: with 5 preconstructed cattle guards, dimensions specified and meet AASHTO regulations for weight and use, which are to be delivered to the Ft. Bayard Administrative Site 268 Fort Bayard Nursery Rd. Silver City, NM 88061. Forest Service employees will unload cattle guards. Cattle guards shall consist of 2 grates with a total dimension of 7’ x 15’ approximately.
Outside frame shall be 12” C Chanel with 5” L-beam supports for Grates to sit on along with ¼”x3” angle iron lip. The two separate grates will be approximately 7' x 7.5' and will be made of 2”x3”x3/16” rectangular tubing. Held together by 5” L-beam. The Wings will bolt on and be made of 2”x1/8” Angle Iron.
