The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement for Modernization to the Passenger Elevator located at NLAE, Ames, IA. Solicitation 12505B25Q0116 is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document, with the incorporated clauses and provisions, is issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 and 36 and will be incorporated in the awarded firm-fixed price contract.

Notice of Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns: This requirement is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. The associated NAICS Code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors. The small business size standard is $22 million. Magnitude of Construction is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. Period of performance is 450 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to include inspection and punch list. Submission of bid, payment, and performance bonds are required upon award of this acquisition.
Site visits will be conducted at National Labratory for Agriculture and Envoronment, 1015 N. University Blvd, Ames, IA on April 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM CST and April 11, 2024 at 9:00 AM CST. In order to attend the site visit, you MUST pre-register by April 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM CDT. Pre-register by emailing jeffery.kathman@usda.gov with your company name and the name(s) of the representative(s) who will attend.
All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Jeffery Kathman, via email to jeffery.kathman@usda.gov. Questions must be submitted no later than close of business on
April 18, 2024.
Answers to all questions received by that time will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. No questions will be answered after this date unless determined to be in the best interest of the Government as deemed by the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests for information will not be accepted or returned. Interested offerors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time the proposal is submitted.
