LaCroix Fire Insulate Garage

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service announces an opportunity on the Superior National Forest, LaCroix Ranger District for the following:

The LaCroix Ranger District within the Superior National Forests has a need for modifying, insulating and heating the district fire engine garage. The current garage space is unheated, and the overhead door is too small to park their fire engine safely. During cold weather the engine is moved to a different location to protect from freezing.

A need has been identified to keep the fire engine at the LaCroix Ranger District office year-round in a heated space so that the engine is accessible and so that maintenance can be performed on the engine when necessary. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) apply to this solicitation and is set-aside for small businesses. See attachments for complete details and bid submission instructions. There will be no site visit.

This announcement constitutes a solicitation for construction issued as a Request for Quote(RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 14. Interested contractors must be active in SAM.gov on the date the bid is received to be eligible for award. Quotes submitted by contractors without an active record in SAM.gov will not be considered.

The solicitation is posted to SAM.gov and no hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this solicitation or any follow up information requests.
