Project Title: 12445124R0008 Shady Lake Recreation Site Day Use Renovation Original Set Aside: The project is set-aside 100% for small businesses per FAR 19.5.

NAICS Code: 238910 - Site Preparation Contractors (size standard $19m).

PSC: Z2NZ - Repair Or Alteration Of Other Utilities Magnitude: In accordance with FAR 36.204 the magnitude of this project is:

(f) Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.

Location: Polk County, AR. From Hot Springs take Highway 70 west 32 miles to Glenwood. Continue on 70 through Glenwood 4 miles to Salem. Take Highway 84 (west) out of Salem through Lodi and Langley, to Athens. In Athens, take Highway 246 to Forest Service Road 38, turn right (north) and travel 3 miles to the entrance of Shady Lake Recreation Area.

From Texarkana, or Mena, take Highway 71 to Vandervoort, then take Highway 246 east to Forest Service Road 38, turn left and travel 3 miles north to the entrance to Shady Lake Recreation Area. Scope of Work (summarized): The scope of this project is to improve visitor experience by updating the layout of Loop A, renovating existing buildings and site features while keeping the aesthetics in line with the original site.

The upgrades include the repair, replacement, or demolition of features such as existing and proposed roads, more ADA accessible parking lots, walkways, painting the bathhouse, replacing the fishing pier, and providing additional camping spurs. Other design items include plans to enhance the electrical and water utilities of the site, improving drainage, reduce erosion, and bring electrical and water to camping spurs with tent pads, new grills, fire pits, picnic tables, and furnishings.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment necessary for the proper execution of the work in accordance with local, state, and national codes and complete the project in an acceptable manner, ready for use, occupancy or operation by the owner.

Award of Contract: Award will be made to the lowest priced responsive/responsible bidder.
