Mulching Tractor with Mulcher for Hiawatha National Forest - Raco Work Center

Please note that this is not a request for proposal nor a request for quote as there is no solicitation document available. Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Forest Service to negotiate a limited source contract with CrossTrac Equipment Inc. for Barko 930B Mulching Tractor with Mulcher.

This vehicle will be used for multitude of things such as masticating, blow down/snapped off jack pine, kirkland’s Warbler habitat, site preparation for Silviculture, removing beech brush, maintaining wildlife openings, making/maintaining fuel breaks. Terrain will be off/on road and rough terrain on Hiawatha National Forest - Raco Work Center. The proposed action is IAW FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice.

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333924 (Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing).
