This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240LP26Q0158 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Large Display Mass Flow Meters.
The Forest Service intends to purchase and integrate 45 each Laurels Electronics LT60FR analog-input to RS-232 output converters and 45 each Laurels Electronics M66-M232-MT2-MRDLV six-character, six-inch-tall LED serial display units for use at wildland firefighting airtanker bases. These devices will interface with mass-flow Coriolis meters used during loading operations to capture, convert, and display real-time retardant-weight information.
The goal is to improve operational efficiency, ensure load accuracy, enhance flight safety, and support personnel situational awareness during air tanker loading operations. USDA proposes to enter a new, limited source, brand-name only, firm fixed-price contract with the direct product supplier OR an authorized distributor of Laurel Electronics LLC. Products. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.
The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334515- Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing. The small business size standard is 750 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
