GAOA Anan Wildlife Observatory Reconstruction Phase 2 - Engineering Services During Construction

The US Forest Service intends to award a contract on a Sole Source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Source is PND Engineering, Inc, Juneau, Alaska and they will provide architectural, engineering, and technical design services relating to the GAOA Anan Wildlife Observatory Reconstruction Phase 2 construction contract on the Tongass National Forest.

PND Engineering, Inc provided the structural engineering construction drawings and specifications, and geological and geotechnical engineering consultation for the final construction documents.

The Alaska Administrative Code, in relation to registered architects, engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors, stipulates that site adaptations and field alterations of sealed documents may only be performed by the person who originally sealed the documents, unless a lengthy and burdensome process is followed (12 AAC 36.195: https://www.commerce.alaska.gov/web/Portals/5/pub/aelsstatutesregs.pdf). This is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.

Any firms which believe they can provide necessary services may reply to this notice by submitting a written response. Any response received shall include the following information: 1) Company Name, 2) Address, 3) Point of Contact information with telephone number and email address, 4) SAM UEI Number and 5) Capabilities information/statement demonstrating the ability to successfully fulfill the Government requirement as described herein.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Firms intending to provide the above stated information must provide their submission to the Contracting Office no later than __10_ days after the date of publication of this notice.
