Procedure used to solicit and award contract: This notice is for the issuance of a blanket purchase agreement call request on BPA “WW/UMA Mechanical and Hand Thinning Fuels Reduction BPA 1240BE22A00XX”. This was a competitive request for quotes under a previously issued BPA to the contractors that were awarded hand thinning and piling only. Only current BPA holders can quote the forthcoming call request.
Description: The expected result of this project is to perform up to 1264 acres of small diameter/non-commercial thinning of conifer along with hand piling or lop & scatter of slash. The expected result of this project is to alter fuel loadings with chainsaws from hazardous live fuels (ladder fuels), decrease tree density to improve species composition, and increase leave tree vitality.
