Fire Suppression System Inspection

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-03. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.

In accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 5 and 12, this Request for Quotes (RFQ), number 12405B24Q0113, is available through electronic commerce via the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. This RFQ is being issued as a total set aside for small business under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The applicable small business size standard is 1,000 employees.

The resulting purchase order will be a firm-fixed price type. The resulting award will include one (1) line item: 0001 – One (1) Conviron Model PGR15 Plant Growth Chamber, brand name only (Justification Attached). 52.252-6 Authorized Deviations in Clauses. (NOV 2020) 452.204-70 Modification for Contract Closeout. (DEVIATION JUL 2020) (a) If unobligated funds in the amount of $1000 or less remain on the contract, the Contracting Officer (CO) shall issue a unilateral modification for deobligation. The contractor will receive a copy of the modification but will not be required to provide a signature.

The CO shall immediately proceed with contract closeout upon completion of the period of performance, receipt and acceptance of supplies or services, and final payment. (b) If unobligated funds of more than $1000 remain on the contract, the CO shall issue a bilateral modification for deobligation. The contractor will receive a copy of the modification and will be required to provide a signature.

(The CO may also request a Release of Claims be completed by the contractor, although not required for contract and orders using SAP.)
