Final Supplement 509 Alaska Pollock Products

The Agricultural Marketing Service has posted an updated Supplement 509 Alaska Pollock Products April 2024. Primary updates include:

label approval requirements and removal of USDC’s role with label approval, shipping temperature requirements for finished Pollock Block, Grade A requirement for finished Pollock products now includes Pollock Fillet Portions, removal of Grade A requirements for raw material blocks, vendor quality assurance steps for verification of portion weights, addition of PUFI requirement for raw material block labels and primary packaging, addition of Grade A on primary packaging, inclusion of projected net weights and count for entire delivery units required for verification during Contractor’s check loading procedures at time of shipment, safe handling statement requirement for reduced oxygen packaging for Breaded Sticks & Nuggets, and updated allergen statement requirement.
