Intent to Sole Source - Stoneville, MS Caterpillar Generator Maintenance

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station has a need for award of a sole source contract to Thompson Machinery Commerce, Corporation for maintenance on Caterpillar Generator.

This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b), only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The USDA-FS, The contractor will perform 11 monthly inspections and services. Also, one annual inspection, service and load bank test to the generator.

All waste materials shall become property of the contractor and be removed from Government premises. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by June 17, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
