This posting is a synopsis of an existing requirement that is slated to be competed among current blanket purchase agreement holders under the USDA Forest Service Vegetation Management (R6) BPA. Please note, this is not a solicitation, no pricing or proposals are requested at this time.
This posting is to determine interest in the requirement outside of the BPA slated for use as part of market research to determine the procurement method most advantageous to the Government for the following services: The purpose of this requirement is to secure services for tree release and brushing treatments in such a manner as to release desirable tree seedlings from competing brush and to prepare sites for tree planting by cutting brush.
The Contractor shall, considering given resource objectives for the work unit, develop a plan of operation to accomplish these objectives, organize, and direct all the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The Contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, services, permits, licenses, and credentials necessary to complete the work required. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic, and safe manner to assure services will be performed over the entire project area.
Location: The location, access, and acreage of each sub-item, as well as other information pertinent to this item are contained in the Vicinity and Unit Maps. All units are located on the Umpqua National Forest, North Umpqua Ranger District. There are approximately 973 total acres to be treated. Interested vendors are invited to add themselves to the Interested Vendors list and/or express their interest via email to michael.winstead@usda.gov.
