Notice of Intent to Sole Source Scheduled and Unscheduled Dry Ice Deliveries to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Sigonella

The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price IDIQ contract to Cerez Group Italia S.R.L. for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Dry Ice for Scheduled and Unscheduled Deliveries. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) For purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000.

The contract will consist of a base year and 4 option years with optional 6 month extension; the period of performance for the base year is 30Sep26 – 29Sep27. Cerez Group Italia S.R.L. is the only source available to provide local production and delivery of dry ice on a scheduled and unscheduled basis; meeting the production quantity and time constraints from order to delivery of unscheduled dry ice deliveries. The total estimated value is $359,453.94.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of U.S NMRTC Sigonella. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is not a request for quote or proposals.
