Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source

The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch (HdHCB), Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-W), Army Health Contracting Activity, MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas 76544-4752, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to the Georgia Department of Public Health under authority of FAR § 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.

This is for the non-personal services for newborn metabolic screening which is state mandated in Georgia to check for certain genetic and metabolic disorders that can affect a baby's health. This is to support the Martin Army Community Hospital (MACH), Fort Benning, Georgia, 31905-2102. Award will be on or about 25 August 2025. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 621511, Medical Laboratories.” The Small Business Size Standard is $41.5M. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.

No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
