Notice of Intent to Sole Source SANE/SAFE Services

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Central Markets Contracting Division (CM-CD) intends to award a sole source contract to SANE of Butler County, 7182 Liberty Centre Drive, Suite N, West Chester, Ohio 45069. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C.

The North American Classification System Code is Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners. The Product and Service Code (PSC) is Q401 Medical-Nursing. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS and no solicitation exists for this requirement. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the government's discretion.

Information received will usually be exclusively considered to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is to provide 24/7 on call Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) for Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations (SAFE) services at Wright-Patterson, AFB, OH.

Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined that this requirement can only be provided by SANE of Butler County as they are the is the only civilian organization that provides 24/7 forensic sexual assault services within the local area of Wright-Patterson AFB. Due to the unique training and skillset, there are no other potential companies that can serve in the same capacity.

No Request for Quote (RFQ) will be available for competitive quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider responses to this notice within 5 days of this posting.
