The purpose and need for this project is to provide improved all weather access to the Maga Ta-Hohpi unit of the Wetland Management District (WMD) through The Hartland Township approximately 7miles west of Huron, SD. The existing access via 392nd Ave has been fully inundated with water for years and will no longer be used. Proposed work includes rehabilitation and gravel surfacing of approximately 1 mile of existing 207th Street, from 392nd Avenue to 393rd Avenue, adjacent to the Maga Ta-Hohpi WPA. Earthwork, and raising road grade, are anticipated to address the existing surfacing problems on the road.
