Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch, Fort Cavazos, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price sole source Contract to Alcon Vision LLC under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing Agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.

For Maintenance Service Plan for government owned Centurion Vision Systems at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Cavazos, TX 76543. The period of performance including all options is 1 October 2024 - 30 September 2025 with four (4) year option ending 30 September 2029, FAR Clause 52.217-8 option ending 31 Mar 2030. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811210, and the size standard is $34.0M. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement.

No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch intends to make a sole source award to Alcon Vision LLC, 6201 South Fwy, Ft. Worth, TX 76134-2001.
