This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government currently intends to award a service contract to provide on-site maintenance services for all the Government owned Karl Storz IOR equipment in the OR rooms.

Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, CO, is seeking vendors that may be able to provide all resources, labor, travel, transportation, parts, materials, equipment, and management necessary to keep the medical equipment in good operating condition and to perform all scheduled/ unscheduled maintenance of the equipment this requirement to support a competitive procurement. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all small socioeconomic category to participate if able.

The proposed sole source action is for Firm Fixed Price contract with Time and Materials line item for repairs. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is FAR 13.106(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization; no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this source sought notice.

The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, if a competitive solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government wide Point of Entry, if applicable. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The NAICS code is:

In the response to this source sought, please provide the following information: Organizations name, address, email address, website address, business size and type of ownership for the organization; and tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this requirement, with appropriate documentation supporting Karl Storz certificates of training. Technicians should have minimum of two years of experience working on Karl Storz equipment.
