NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AND SYNOPSIS The U.S. Government, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a service contract to provide non-personal services to provide the CensiTrac surgical instrument tracking system information technology (IT) subscription service to Weed Army Community Hospital’s Sterile Processing Department and Operating Room. The option periods include the software licensing, software security, software upgrades, and maintenance for Weed Army Community Hospital (WACH). This requirement is for a base year plus three options years and a six-month extension as follows:
Base Period: 01 Mar 2024 (as soon as possible) to 31 Dec 2024 Option Year 1: 01 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025 Option Year 2: 01 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026 Option Year 3: 01 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 Extension (6 months) 01 Jan 2028 to 30 June 2028 The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to:

CAGE Code: 3X0G1 4031 Aspen Grove DR STE 350 Franklin, Tennessee 37067-2950 Synopsis Description of Services: The contractor shall provide non-personal services to provide the CensiTrac surgical instrument tracking system information technology (IT) subscription service to Weed Army Community Hospital’s Sterile Processing Department and Operating Room.
The option periods include the software licensing, software security, software upgrades, and maintenance for Weed Army Community Hospital (WACH). The added “Service +” agreement will provide CensiTrac Utilization Assessment and access to the Clinical Education team.
This assessment report is a tool that can be used to identify knowledge and documentation gaps, provide a solid base for developing quality improvement initiatives, and assist in the annual requirement of performing a risk assessment to determine quality assurance initiatives. This also includes complimentary registration for the CensiTrac users Conference, priority registration for the CensiTrac Essentials for managers (CEM) course, and Customized on-site training engagement.
CensiTrac is an automated tracking software for surgical instruments and equipment, which improves infection control and provides the data for meaningful benchmarking, continuous process improvement, and root cause analysis. This is the proven path to zero adverse events, improved clinical outcomes, streamlined workflows, and optimized surgical instrument tracking and management.
CensiTrac equipment has been provided and owned by the Government at the WACH location provided by the previous contract no. W81XWH19P0107. Censis Technologies, Inc. has also provided a sole source letter stating that no authorized resellers exist. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code that best fits this requirement is– 513210, Software Publishers. The NAICS code selected best fits FSC/PSC DF10 – IT And Telecom - It Management As A Service.
Small Business Size Standard: $47,000,000. This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases no exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). Please see the attached Single/Sole Source Justification for further details. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.
The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a sole source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
